Waiuku and Districts Combined Churches continues to support work in Nepal, by sending regular donations raised through specific parish activities and personal donations.
The organisation we support improves the lives of children and families, and therefore the future of this Himalayan nation.

Initially the organisation we support provided a caring home for orphaned children who were prepared for adult life through Christian nurture and education. In addition, the lives of communities near the home were improved through development programmes including water filtration systems and sustainable agriculture. Support was given to the community when needed, for example, after the 2015 earthquake when the home needed to be rebuilt. In the past several groups from our parish have visited the children's home and were impressed with the standard of care the children received, as well as the other outreach projects in their community. Since the orphanage closed, the work has focused more on supporting widows, assisting children with educational needs, and training church leaders.
