Waiuku and Districts Combined Churches continues to support the House of Hope, Nepal by sending regular donations raised through specific Parish activities and personal donations.
The work of the Hope mission improves the lives of children and therefore the future of this Himalayan nation.

A caring home is provided for orphaned children who are prepared for adult life through Christian nurture and education. Education is a very high priority and English is a very important language for them to master from a very young age. In addition, the lives of communities near the home are improved through development programs including water filtration systems and sustainable agriculture.

Support is given to the community when needed, for example, after the 2015 earthquake when the home needed to be rebuilt. In the past several groups from our Parish have visited the House of Hope and were impressed with the standard of care the children receive, as well as the other outreach projects in their community.

In September 2014 a group of parishioners from St Andrews visited the home and below is part of there report:

The House of Hope ministry does an amazing job with the 30 or so children they are currently caring for. The children receive a quality education that they otherwise would have no hope of getting. They are well fed, clothed and have their emotional needs met. Moreover, their spiritual development is a high priority with fellowship time happening each evening as well as church each Saturday. These Christian workers live up to their mission statement of sharing love,
