The Waiuku and Districts Combined Churches is a co-operation between the Methodist and Presbyterian churches in Waiuku and Districts, formed in August 2002.  Although the church is primarily Presbyterian and Methodist we welcome people from wide-ranging backgrounds.

 

The re-developed St Andrews Centre, which was opened on 1 April 2006 (the original church opened in 1964), deliberately incorporated in its design the conviction that the church needed to be oriented towards the community whilst retaining the worship space as an integral part of the congregation’s Christ-centered identity. Consequently the building provides excellent community facilities and an auditorium which admirably serves the needs of the worshipping community. The whole is summed up in the banner hanging in the foyer. Underneath this is our Mission Statement -   “To live the Christian faith and share it with everyone.”  Another way of summarising our philosophy is that we aim to be “Christ-centered and Community Facing”.

 

This wonderful facility that we actively encourage to be used by our community, contains two large lounge areas and two meeting rooms - both of these can be opened into a large lounge area, and a large meeting room, or closed off for smaller, more intimate gatherings. We also have the main auditorium, which seats up to 200 people and contains a modern audio visual and sound system.
