This has grown from a few vases of flowers fifteen years ago. The Festival of Flowers is now the highlight of the year for many of the more artistic folk in the parish, and remains hugely popular with the Waiuku community and visitors. This special event is usually held around the end of November when the whole of the St Andrews Centre is full of inspiring displays that are provided by outside groups as well as parish members.

Over recent years the Franklin Rose Society have held their annual show in conjunction with the Festival of Flowers. A proportion of the profit from the Festival of Flowers is given to a local charity. Planning for each year starts early. If you’re interested in becoming involved contact Alison Marson.
