    Reverend Richard Gray

Hi, I'm Richard Gray, minister at Waiuku and District combined churches and have been here since early 2015. My roots are in this part of the country as I was born in Pukekohe. In 1983/84 I taught at Sandspit Road School in Waiuku, so have returned to this part of the country. I am married to Morag and we have three grown up children and three grandsons.

My other ministries have been in Wairoa in northern Hawkes Bay, Wellington where I served as School Chaplain at Scots College and was minister for the Seatoun Presbyterian Parish, and First Church in Invercargill. Over the years I have had involvement in wider church and community interests. At national church level I have served on the PCANZ Nominating Committee, and the Assembly Business Workgroup and have served as Moderator of Gisborne, Wellington and Southland Presbyteries as well as the Synod of Otago and Southland. In the various communities I have been involved in the Kindergarten movement, School Board of Trustees, a Wellington City Council Community Centre and the Order of St John.

    Mindy Simpson

    Parish Assistant

I was born in Wellington, my partner Wiremu and I moved to Waiuku at the beginning of 2016. Between us we have five children and seven grandchildren. We moved here to be near Wiremus daughter and family. In Wellington I worshipped at St John's in the city a presbyterian church in the city centre, where I was an active member. My paid work has been in retail. In my paid and unpaid work my focus is on the relationships we have with each other.

    Anne Bailey-Green

    Church Office Administrator

Welcome, my name is Anne Bailey-Green and my role for Waiuku & Districts Combined Churches is Parish Administrator. Professionally I’ve had a varied career from Purchasing to Retail Management. I originate from the UK, moving to New Zealand in 2002 with my husband Steve and our four boys (then aged 6, 5, 2 and under 1, so they are big and strong kiwis now!), becoming Citizens in 2012. Waiuku has been our home for twelve years and we love our town and Parish for its closeness of community.

I’m an active member of our church and enjoy being able to communicate with this parish and wider community, through my job and on a personal level as well. I love to meet new people and enjoy helping in whatever way I can.

As I said earlier “Welcome to Waiuku”……

I am an active member of St. Andrews Church and have served on many committees responsible for organizing church activities.

    Young Families Co-coordinator

I was born in India, completed my Master’s Degree in Scotland and pursued a medical career in Cancer Research before settling down in New Zealand with my family. I live in Waiuku with my husband Santhosh and we are blessed with two precious daughters.

On Sundays, this exciting role involves Bible Study and training for the children to lead the All Age Worship services through song, prayer, bible readings and presentations. Other weekly activities organised are Mainly Music and Playgroup with ongoing Mission Outreach opportunities identified and acted upon.

Outside of my Church life, I am actively involved in local Waiuku Community Services and am a member of the Board of Trustees for the Waiuku Family Support Network (WFSN).

All through my journey of life, faith in God has been my strong anchor, light and guide. I am amazed by God’s love and great plans for us as His children. This makes me very passionate and enthusiastic about transferring lifelong faith in God to our next generation through my current role as the Children and Young Families’ Co-ordinator at St. Andrew’s.
