Advent Boxes work on the principal of advent calendars. The boxes contain dioramas based on a Christmas-related theme set each year. Early in December, one box is placed in each of 11 local shops and one in the St Andrew's Centre. Each day at midday we open one box, and a suitable carol is sung by members of our parish, shop staff and passersby. The last box is opened at the church. The boxes remain on view for several days afterwards for people to enjoy.

Waiuku and Districts Combined Churches continues to support the House of Hope, Nepal, by sending regular donations raised through specific parish activities and personal donations.
The work of the Hope mission improves the lives of children and therefore the future of this Himalayan nation.
